Drain the cherries, reserve juice. Set cherries aside. |

In a saucepan, mix the cherry juice and the pudding mix. Cook the mixture while stirring until it comes to a boil and becomes thick and bubbly. Remove from fire, stir in gelatin powder and sweetener until dissolved. |

Stir in the cherries; transfer to pie shell. Cool completely. Store in refrigerator. |
